Yes, we all know people die every day from that civil war. But those people are a part of it. The people in that plane had no part in the war whatsoever. That's what makes this different. Anyway, no one said the war isn't a tragedy or anything to excuse, but now they've attacked people from the outside and have pissed off some powerful leaders. Also, the disgusting way Ukraine and Russia is dealing with the situation offends others. Get that?

once again regarding this post

dear anon,

> “But those people are a part of it”
those poor civilians are not part of any civil war because, first of all, there is no “civil war” at the moment, what is hapening there is more of a genocide

>”we all know people die every day from that civil war”
what I was reffering to with both my previous posts, was that only a few have shown actual interest, let alone sympathy for those dying there all those months for no good reason (in other words)

Also, people (especially the Ukrainians from the rest of Ukraine) are being misinformed constantly.

»for anyone who wants to know more about the situation in Ukraine: this is very informative

"What’s happening in Ukraine anyway?"

How come no one is talking about Obama administring $48 mill. to the fascist Ukrainian government just yesterday to “enhance national unity, particularly in the East and South”?

That’s another $48 mill. in support of killing unarmed civillians, particularily in resisting regions in Donbass.

Lots of people seem to have some uncertain, semi-neutrall “it’s all way too complicated to form an opinion. all news sources are prapaganda to a certain degree”-kind of attitude. Leaving aside that there’s enough video and photo-material on the internet to clear up the circumstances my family is from Eastern Ukraine and here I am telling you that people there are living under constant fear of the government and their centralized ultra-right-wing police corps by now. It’s no ideological conflict of “russian seperatists” vs. “ukrainian autonomists”, either. It’s people resisting the violence and agenda of the government in Kiev, that, contrary to the depiction by the Western press, doesn’t have any restraints in declaring itself nationalist.

Men are being forced into military service under the threat of imprisonment and shot for non-compliance. Some of my parents’ Jewish acquaintances haven’t left their houses for weeks, but big Western( or German at least) newspapers are making jokes about the new president being also head of a chocolate company and just calling it a heated situation, instead.

Ukrainian army destroys infrastructure Donbass. Destroys ecology and even opened fire on the chemical industry. Seen by their actions that they will go to any casualties among civilians and innocent citizens for the sake of money.

Donetsk burns after government shellstrikes.

"Tochmash" factory burns, there are many gas tanks there.

Do you remember?
“Saddam is killing his own people!”
“Gaddafi is killing his own people!”
“Assad is killing his own people!”
Now Poroshenko & Yatsenyuk are killing their own people. The west’s ‘humanitarian interventionists’ perform as cheerleaders.

Donetsk outskirts after government artillery strike. Civilians killed.

Now government keeps attacking city with tanks and APCs, they have the same number of armored vehicles as number of militia infantry soldiers there. After artillery and tanks destroy everything national guard troops enter to cleanse the area, shoot everything that moves.

How can you seriously fault people for mourning the loss of people they care about? It's a shame your heart is so cold because otherwise your point is valid.

piretos:

regarding this post about the current situation in Ukraine I recently made

here is where I have been not clear enough:
I do not fault people for mourning the dead of the plane tragedy, especially I do not fault those who have lost someone they personaly knew
The ones I fault are the complete strangers to those people, who mourn them ingoring the hundreds and hundreds of people who are killed daily by the Ukrainian army.

I fail to understand how one can cry for ones and act as if others (just a few meters away) who are in the same, and frankly, in a worse situation, don’t get killed by their own people every day.
